Difficult hood and trunk latch

Sounds like your latch needs some TLC....remove the Latch cover. It just pops off. Grease the mechanism. The shop manula indicates 5 lubrication points on the latch. Just lube what move and you'll be OK. As for the hood....drop it from about 2 feet...NEVER push it down.

Bonnet (HOOD) can be adjusted, mine closes from about 8 inches.
The FLICK method, i.e adding some speed to the drop by flicking down with thumbs from say 12 inch drop height helps also!
