I made a thread a few days ago about someone bapping into my rear bumper. Well since then I ordered a new bumper for the body shop to paint. When the tech was digitally matching the paint the computer came back with 3 different colors?


The tech asked which one he wanted to pick, but I asked him to give me a night too decide.


1) Darker than #2

2) Matched perfectly with top panel

3) A bit less darker than #1

I'm a bit confused, my gut tells me to go with 2.



ALSO, is it wise for me too install the rear bumper myself? How easy/hard is that install? Any installation guides?

 

WTH? Never heard anything like this. I've only experienced: the paint code for color, a draw-down for tweaking the match. Then some blending into panels if needed (seems to always be needed) for pearls, aged paint etc. But shouldn't he be telling you which is best?
