Default dissapointed with the s2k -.-

test drove an s2k today and wow!
i just sold my rsx and the comparison with vtec kickin is WAYY different.
also everytime i would shift from N to 1st there would be a clunk, super weird.
i want to drive another s to see if maybe it kicks harder in another car, but i barely even felt it!
is this normal? i expected to drive a monster! and now i just miss my rsx -.-

Sorry that our VTEC isn't as sick as yours. Did you note the steering, handling, and soul at all? The car does shine where it matters.

Transmission shouldn't clunk and the VTEC is different than iVTEC in an RSX.

Before putting it into first , hold the clutch pressed in for a while (a few seconds) .

i came from an RSX as well, and there is a huge difference in vtec cross over, but either way i think the S pulls harder (IMO) due the its gears, and handling is way better than the RSX.. way better!

You know that vtec not kicking hard is a good thing, right?

The 'clunk' is perfectly normal in the S2000.

All MT cars do it when engaging 1st gear immediately after pressing in the clutch pedal at a stop while the engine is running. It's just the transmission internals coming to a quick stop as they are locked to the stopped output shaft. It's just more noticeable in the S2000.

It just means that the S2000 is making decent power on the lower profile cams as well, so the difference in power isn't that great from one set to another.
