Sorry , it's hard for me to write more then a few words in english .
I tried referred to whats th OP said :
"also everytime i would shift from N to 1st there would be a clunk, super weird"

I'll try again to say that , to prevent the clunk noise when putting it into first gear from a neutral , you have to press the clutch in for a few seconds befor moving the shifter from N to 1'st .
It will allow the (input?) shaft to stop spinnig .
Hope thats clearer .

BAWWW MY VTECS NOT KICKIN IN.
IMA GO BUY A HONDA CIVIC WITH I-VTEC.

Solution: Go buy another RSX, if all you care about is vtec gtfo. If you can't appreciate a car for what it is, you deserve to drive a civic. You can slap 100 performance mods on them, perfect for your taste .

It just means that the S2000 is making decent power on the lower profile cams as well, so the difference in power isn't that great from one set to another.
Actually, that's not why it's a good thing. It is a good thing because a smooth crossover doesn't upset the balance of the car when driving at/near the limit. Honda wanted it to be smooth (they actually improved the smoothness of the crossover to vtec on AP2s).

i expected a big difference from my type s. but i guess it makes sense that its a smoother transition because yes indeed it felt like it moved.

If it's your first time driving an "s". That's a normal reaction, especially if you didn't drive it much. Honestly I felt the same but I jumped the gun and bought it and omg the car is a blast if you spend more time with it.

I don't get a clunk every time I go into first but that's where buying a good condition used car kicks in. Make sure it's good or test drive a few to get the feel.

Props for having the balls to admit disappointment in the s2k forum itself lol

do you think that since VTEC isn't as aggressive that the car is slower? What year did you drive? What was the mileage? Didn't you have an '03 Base?
