Dude...I'm so glad you started this topic. YES! Other drivers used to flash their headlights on me every single night when I was driving my S back in Georgia. lol. It got so annoying but since I moved out to Arizona I haven't had it happen at all. It was so bad I kept my hand on the lever so I could flash them back when they flashed me. lol. I guess it just depends where you live.

I amazed at the amount of drivers who either don't know what this means, or use this to warn others, or both. I remember growing up this was a common occurrence, and now people will give you the finger for trying to warn them about a cop in the area.

..Well the car that I flashed my lights at flipped a bitch, turned his own special red & blues on and pulled me over

He asked why I was flashing my lights, and I made up a story about how I thought his brights were on (it was kinda hilly, so decent excuse) he even specifically asked me if it was because I was warning traffic of a speed trap and I (being young) was able to act like I'd never heard of that before.

He let me off with a warning, but now I only flash other people during the day time
There is no law against warning people of speed traps. If you know of one please link me to it.

I get high beamed often, constant not a flash, and not cop related.
Usually hit my brights and they shut theirs back off.

I wave...flashing high beams could falsely indicate to other oncoming traffic of a cop that isn't really there.

And it's not against the law in most areas...including NY

Your headlights may need to be lowered also. The headlights in my other car I just bought blind incoming traffic because they aren't aimed correctly. I'm taking care of it this week.

People also do this (including myself) to warn you of deer that are in/close by the road. Where I live in PA deer are a huge problem on our back roads. Helped me quite a few times, and I'm sure I have helped others as well.
