This should be an interesting poll.

 

I always have the donut spare. I sometimes carry my OEM rear spare too on long trips because I've already had 2 flat rears. One of them left me renting a car for several days while I was out of town until I could get a tire shipped in. These tires are great for handling and traction, so I've decided to stick with them despite their attraction to sharp metal objects......

 

I still currently carry the spare, but I'm seriously considering ditching it and the tool kit, for more cargo space and weight reduction.

I'm hoping Muz can come up with a nice liner for the spare tyre space.

I'm also planning to get a 12V compressor; anyone have a recommendation?

If you have no spare tire in the trunk, wouldn't that throw off the 50/50 weight distribution in your car?

Do you carry your spare tire with you in the car?

mine goes where ever i do, spare tire around middle..........wreaks havoc on the fifty/fifty ratio.
