Always double-clutch, it's just a driving habit. Not suppose that will do any harm anyhow. That's how manuals should be driven anyway, happen to be the best ways to drive a Ferrari or Lamborgini. My colleague went for a test drive in a Lamborgini Diablo VT and was specifically told to double-clutch only, I had to teach him how to do that for awhile before he impressively did it with no problems.

Double clutching - is that when you step once to put it into neutral and then clutch it again to put it in gear?

I've been only double-clutching since I bought my S2k. Never had a stick before...bought the "Skip Barber Racing School Book" through Amazon.com -- very thorough discussion of shift techniques and why you may never need to in a modern street car, but you'll never get hurt by double-clutching.

Double-clutching, which is a lost art, was indespensible before the advent of syncromesh transmissions and, in this day and time, a solution to a problem that no longer exists.

Hey lvs2k..

SIXTH GEAR!

Congratulations.

WRT Double-clutching.. I use to love doing it in the older
car such as MGBs but these new boxes like in the S2k do not
require you to do so.

Oh well, progress..

I would say the only time I would do it in this car is if your trying to get into 1st gear when you are moving (maybe 10+mph), otherwise unnecessary,

Make you sure you blip on downshifts though makes it very smoothe.

Nope, I feel there is no need to double clutch with this car, Always blip the throttle to match engine to gear speed...
