Default Do you ever get bored with the s2000?

I know the s2000 is a pretty special car, but even it can sometimes get boring. Have any of you all felt this way after a couple years of ownership? This is my second s2000 and I've probably put about 3 years of seat time between the two cars. I have urges to purchase a new car, perhaps something domestic, coupe, or 4 doored machine; however, I do not want to start making car payments again.

Have anyone felt this way? If so, how did you get past it?

Any car will get boring after awhile. The solution is to have more than one. I have a 2015 IS350 as my DD and the S2000 as a summer weekend toy. I always look forward to driving each.

I got bored of my AP1 when I had it as a DD and drove it as my only vehicle for 12 months out of the year.

I have never been bored with my AP2 when I bought my truck as my DD/beater for the rainy/cold/winter/crap days and only drove the S on nice days.

Agree. The S is the longest I've owned a car (10 years) and I believe it's purely because I don't drive it everyday. I have 50k on my '05.

To add to rlr's comment, we've got 6 cars currently. Variety is great. I still don't see myself selling the S anytime soon, I do still enjoy the car very much.

It's hard to get bored with the S. I have an Scion xB as a DD and that's a boring car. When I drive my 07, it makes me excited to drive again.

I get bored because it's so f-ing slow and I crave some thrills once in a while. So then I go ride my Ducati, which satisfies my urge for speed. And then I'm okay driving the slow S2000 for a few more days because it's the sensible/comfortable vehicle that I own. This cycle repeats over and over. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a decent/reliable car overall, and is fine on track, but as a street car, it's nothing spectacular.

Just leased a Civic Si and retired the S2K from daily duty.. Every time I get in the S now on the weekend it feels like a Ferrari coming from the civic lol.. Not in terms of speed but in terms of feel... I smile as soon as I get in it, every time.
