Most of us are car enthusiasts so we wouldn't be swayed by status, and "irrelevant" things. We focus more on the driving experience.

Sometimes that means getting a Cayman S, sometimes that means getting a turbo'ed Miata.

I believe in the philosophy of never selling a quality car. A major reason why I bought the S2000 and not a cheaper car( I am a grad student and lets just say my position is highly leveraged ) was that I would like to own it for life if the gods above permit. As far as upgrading is concerned I will upgrade but only when I can afford the upgrade along with the S.
