Do you guy always "feel" the Vtec kicking in?
I have no problems with my s2k (knock on wood!) The car seems to run good. The thing is sometimes when I go WOT, I dont feel that Vtec kicking in, it just gets louder. But other times I can hear it and feel it kicking in. So is this how it is with everybody?

are you driving like in different conditions. like with the top down late at night when you here it, and the top up during the day when you dont?
is your engine at operating temperature before you nail vtec?
i feel mine kick in every time but i have intake and exhuast and intake really makes the sound change when it hits. if yours is stock then it will be alot less of a quiter transition into vtec.

No, and I'm glad for it, I appreciate a linear powerband.

It's dependent on so many things. Sometimes it's more pronounced, sometimes it feel seamless.
I find when its cooler it has more kick, which makes total sense.
I currently have mine engage at 4700, so there's never a kick.

Every time except maybe on a 95+ degree day before I lowered engagement point. Now at 5600 rpm engagement I only hear the change in the exhaust note. It was really noticeable at stock engagement though. They definitely had it too high from the factory.

The vtec xover is just sound for me, I feel the extra push when I get to 6.5k+ to redline after vtec has already engaged. Even more so with the modifications, but still felt it from 7 to 8k when the car was bone stock.

Is VTEC at 6.5ish dependent on throttle position (e.g. if you're WOT, then you'll engage VTEC, vs. if you're not mashing the pedal down, it'll be without)?
