Do you guy always "feel" the Vtec kicking in?

The transition is not smooth--this is a reason why Flashpro for 06+ and similar devices for previous models are so popular. When my car was 100% stock I'd feel a noticeable kick on the cam switch @ WOT every time. After reflashing to 5600rpm engagement point there is no longer a kick, only a change in the exhaust note. Stock engagement point is too high from the factory even for a stock car.

i was under the assumption that our motors had vtec and intake "butterflies" that resemble the B-series honda motors. if that's the case, then you wouldn't hear nor feel vtec, but what you do hear and feel (stock motor ie: no exhaust, intake, etc) would be the butterflies opening up. also "vtec" shouldn't have a noticeable "kick" when it engages, that would be abnormal because vtec is supposed to be a smooth transition. if you had exhaust you could hear the vtec through the rear and then the butterflies opening up, which in return increases intake noise up front. please correct me as needed.

In my S VTEC hits hard in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears. In second gear it hits so hard that my rear breaks loose if there is a little gravel or dirt on the road. It doesn't hit as hard in 3rd gear but it's still very noticeable. In 4th and above I can barely feel it.

Intake and exhaust definitely let me hear the difference, heck even the stock setup let you hear the transition. I do feel the transition when going WOT. It's not major, but you definitely feel the kick and know you have crossed the threshold.
