Do you have an affinity with all roadsters?

I like them all, from Karmen Ghia's on up. The only one I wondered about however was the Fiat Spider. Never felt anything for a Fiat.

I've got to wonder why one would single out the Fiat Spider for disdain. I certainly understand not wanting to own one, with the accompanying mechanical headaches, but they were wonderful handling cars, and I still love the look today. For its day, it also performed quite respectably.
I want to say yes but in my neck of the woods, most convertible 2 seat sport cars are usually owned by rich arrogant MF that don't give you the time or day, but on the other hand I do acknowledge the cars such as Evo's Sti's 350Z and other S2000 but defiantly not the SRT4's
Spider
I'm sorry I didn't mean to pick on Fiats. Fiats are OK
I just have a thing about fiats.
I don't know why. I agree with you I like the body style
No ridicule was meant, just a personal opinion. I'm sure you've got a couple cars on your list too.

Only roadsters that perform at least respectable numbers. M Roadster, Boxster S, SLK AMG, S2000, etc. I do not have this affinity with base Z3s, base boxsters, Miatass, or base SLKs or SC430s and the like, especially the ones that cost so much and perform poorly.
the first roadster i ever drove was a 1960 AH sprite, it was slow and the gearbox was non syncro in first and the top was a bear to put up and down, but i was in love...ever since then i have had a love affair with convertibles, especially roadsters...as long as i can have one i will....my first open car was a used 914, a 74 2.0 and i loved that car. that was also my first real sports car.
first real convertible was a mustang gt which i got used and never really liked, so i sold it for a new 1990 miata which i paid sticker for, hardtop and all..that was my first real roadster in the sense it had a convertible top. i had had sports car but the roadster is my favorite, i am drawn to them on the road and in the parking lot...i am not a fan of the larger more powerful automatic cars, perhaps someday...but give me what i already have and i am happy and truely satisfied.

I feel a kinship with roadsters out there I don't care WHAT they are. The people out there who are willing to actually LIVE their lives rather than be cocooned in a boring sedan (not all sedans are boring) are rare, and I don't care what their preferred brand is.
I live old Brit roadsters and have asked to be a part of their cruising group (I do own a Rover so I have an *in*), I like the german drop-tops, the Miata is cool with me because without it's success the S2k wouldn't have seen our shores. I'll be anxious to drive the new pontiac Solstice when it arrives. The Italian convertibles are beautiful, especially the Ferrari's and Alfas. I like 'em all.
