Default Do you have a clear bra or not?

I put off getting a clear bra and have 5-6 rock chips(some past where the clear bra would help). I cant decide now if it's worth the money or Should I just deal with it and see how it looks at 100k.. maybe repaint it then?! Opinions? It really seems to chip easily..

I will be getting one soon, you can get some off of ebay for good deals that are like a clear 3M film, kind of like lamin-x.

Is it worth it if you have a couple already? I only have 7k miles on it and tha paint seems easily chipped.

I bought a full clear bra for my S2000. Didn't get around to installing it if anyone is interested in it let me know. All brand new. Would let it go cheap.

IMO no. I was going to install one then I decided the chips underneath would not look good.

It's worth it in my opinion. Luckily, my S came with one when I bought it. It covered the bumper, half of the hood and fenders, headlights, side mirrors, side strakes, and side rear bumpers.

I am a huge fan of the clear bra. Had one on my Subaru and now on the S. What people are saying is true. The sooner the better as you will not be able to fix anything underneath it. You can try doing some touch up paint work before hand to help.

I would not go the eBay route, find a good installer in your area. I watched mine get installed and it is definitely an art. You can also pick up some film for the headlights to help prevent scratches.

Be forwarned, trying to find an installer can be an interesting experience. Searching for "clear bra" on Google provided all kinds of interesting results...

If you are located near Dallas, TX I highly recommend:

I have 3M bras on all of my cars. In Cali, it is a must (no rain, so always crap in the road). If you have a few chips, just have them touched op first, and they will look ok.

i never understood these things...what are they?? I never opted for a 'bra' on any of my cars (the ugly black leather ones you see on most dated cars). Can anyone show me apicture of these things, how much would one set me back??
