Do you have a clear bra or not?

also, a question: (asking b/c mine is NFR and red seems to fade faster than other colors), would the red would fade more quickly because i couldnt wax the paint under the bra? i only wonder that because a previous red car that had a cheap paint job faded, and i wondered if the previous owner never waxed it and that accelerated the fading.
But the clear bra does block some UV rays, so I would expect that if you kept it on for 10 years you might be able to notice a difference in color. I've had several cars with 200K+ miles, and I'd much rather have a barely-noticeable line than a pitted and dulled bumper.
I've had bumpers repainted several times on cars in the past, and from my experience the paint does not adhere to the bumper well on a repaint job. There's no question that a good clean flawless bumper with original paint is better than a repainted bumper.
I've had my clear bra on my S2000 for almost 5 years now, and I believe it was worth every penny.
i have NFR and a put a clear bra as soon as 300 miles on my odo... i would've had it installed sooner but cannot find a decent installer in my area(vegas) i've only had it for 6000 miles... but i believe it's a good investment(if you can call it that) especially if you do a lot of freeway miles(i drive to socal every weekend) i only wish it covered a bigger portion.. like the whole front end instead of only half the hood... i already have chips on my hood and fender where the clear bra is not covering, the clear bra is still intact and unscathed... although i've only had it for a few thousand miles.. so i wouldn't know how it will hold up, especially in red...

I am a huge fan of the clear bra. Had one on my Subaru and now on the S. What people are saying is true. The sooner the better as you will not be able to fix anything underneath it. You can try doing some touch up paint work before hand to help.
I would not go the eBay route, find a good installer in your area. I watched mine get installed and it is definitely an art. You can also pick up some film for the headlights to help prevent scratches.
Be forwarned, trying to find an installer can be an interesting experience. Searching for "clear bra" on Google provided all kinds of interesting results...
If you are located near Dallas, TX I highly recommend:

And don't get a body kit; they're ricey and ugly.
i personally think they are lame.
reasoning below:
1. They are pricy
2. They make the front end look dull
3. They are noticable when close up
4. For the price you pay, you could have your bumper repainted twice if it got THAT chipped
5. Sometimes they get in the way of mods
so, personally, not a fan

^^I thought about the price of repaint vs a GOOD install of clear bra...and I just don't think its worth $600-700 installed when I could just repaint the bumper in a few years. For that amount I could get a reeeally nice re-paint with extra coats of clear for later protection.
