Thumbs up Do you leave your top up or down ?

I daily drive my car and the top always down untill I get to work then it up for 8 hours. Then I will put it down for the drive home and it will stay down untill the next morning.
Will I put additional stress on the top if I leave it down 16 hours a day ? Everyday ? I noticed that the top latch rest pretty firmly against the top fabric in the down position. Wear hole later down the road ?

I think down is good for the top. My car is an '04 that came with a hard top. I've only had it for a year, but the top looks new. I think it's because the hard top is on all winter, and the soft top only goes up when I have to leave the car alone in a parking lot somewhere.

I do the same thing, leave it down in the garage. Id be more worried of wearing it out putting it up and down unneccesarily than leaving it in one position

My top goes down about July 1, when our monsoon season ends. And stays down until about September 15, when our monsoon season starts. I see no sign of problems from having the top down for weeks at a time.

Top up for me.... The longer I leave the top down, the longer the crease stays in my plastic window. I want to upgrade to glass
