Softop it would be a toss-up for me and might depend on where I was parking weather to lock it or not. I now have a HT and seat locks so I always lock my car. I guess I'm about as safe as it gets but there is no such thing as completely safe regardless of what you decide to do. At a minimum, get the seat locks.

I always lock it, if the tops down I lock the glovebox and have the windows up, if they lean in far enough the alarm will sound, the worst I've had is sweetie wrappers, nobody has spat in the car yet! but it's the kind of thing the chavs would do here.
The insurance would be void if it was unlocked btw.

Zigman...

You're bustin' my bubble, man... I've got the machine in motion to move to your part of the world in about five years and never set foot on the mainland again... you mean to tell me you got bad guys there too? I can't wait to get off the continent.

Thinking Big Island... Puna area. Take care and be safe.

I always lock the car, but i don't always roll the windows up or put the top up. my clifford would be worthless if i don't arm the alarm.

yeah, locking it would be advisable.

Off topic:
have you guys ever dreamt about your car being stolen? I have had about 3 or 4 dreams about my car being jacked. I live in SoCal so that's probably why.
I've dreamt about having an s2000 stolen and I don't even own one yet 0_o. I left it in my driveway in my dream and when I came back I was pissed cause it was gone.

Haha, paranoid as hell bout it. When I get an s2000 I will probably install an alarm system.
