Do you REALLY need?!
Cthree,
Is it possible to allow html in the sig??
That way, people can put their car+mods in a table that grows horizontally...
Of course, this only solves the screen space problem not the data size problem.. but text is
far smaller than images (given equal screen space).
I tried to help one of our board member (desmond) on his
long sig by putting it into a table but only to find out that
html is off for sigs.

I may be one of the few who don't find lengthy signatures such a big problem (I'm lucky to have a fast connection). What annoys me the most is when ppl post an entire quote (including pics) when only one sentence in the quote is applicable to the reply. A complete waste of window space. Then there are others who post a one-line quote, and a one line response (usually a
), but somehow manage to spread the message over 8" on the screen (most often in Off Topic threads).
It would make reading so much quicker if ppl took a few moments to edit quotes so they only contained relevant sentences, started typing their reply immediately after the last [/quote] (which will display the text on a new line anyway), and only used one carriage return between paragraphs (instead of multiple blank lines). I don't want to point fingers at anyone in particular, but even a few posts in this thread have a fair share of "wasted" lines.

I personally kinda liked wes' style of sig, I like to read through that from time to time and his usage of font made it a little easier to read. I'm changing mine right now though, gonna make it a little simpler... Lemme know what you guys think.
PS: xviper your avatar drives me nuts

Thanks airgate, I nver really looked at the options before. I'm posting this one without a sig.

When you post to any thread (or create a thread), you have a series of options on the bottom before you click on submit reply.
