Default Do you stay in VTEC?

Okay guys. I have a few questions.

1) Do you VTEC almost everytime you can. Like when you stop in front of a redlight? Vtec in first vtec in second and so on?

2) Do you like staying in Vtec when you're driving? Like you just hang there and not shift up.

Depends on whether or not I have bad intentions.

It is a real fight for me to keep the revs down! VTEC is so much fun!

When I first got the car, all 3000 miles ago, VTEC land was full throttle or not at all, (other than coiling for a strike). Now I regularly shift at 8k even driving at part throttle. More and more it just seems that this is where the car wants to be.

Now if the top is up and I'm just casually driving around I'll shift below 6k because it is quite loud and not very sonorous.

Most of my cruising in gear however, I hold the RPM at 2500-3500 which works just fine.

I was told its best to stay in the highest gear possible for regular driving.. If you are at high RPM with no "load" on the engine it stresses the engine...

This is a high revving engine--- and I beleive ( remember the the old valvoline/castrol commercials) that the stook likes it there. Its more comfortable and I (as a speed.. check that... acceleration freak) beleive that the stook likes it there. In the lower RPM's it dog's big time. REV it UP and enjoy. This is not a cadillac or lexus. use what you have and party on!!!!
