most people probably wouldn't even be able to tell the difference between having the gears or not....
Especially when one drives the S2000 for the first time. I would imagine that only owners could really tell. Even an AP2 owner jumping onto an AP1 might notice the difference easily.

Either way ... just do a swap and get cash if you don't mind the labor

I've thought about this a lot as well. I guess it would be easy to swap out the diff. Honestly the only way I could see it really being a problem is if u got a sudden urge to upgrade and got a good offer on a trade-in for your car or something.

On a side-note, would anyone consider not saying anything? When you trade-in a car do you sign anything saying there are no hidden mods? I honestly don't remember the last time I traded in a car there was so much to sign I forget. Not that I would do this, just curious if anyone has bought a car and had gears done from the previous owner and had no idea. lol . . .
I did that (or should I say "didn't") when I traded in my old Dakota (I had Richmond 4.10s in it). I had an exhaust, intake and cams in it as well (4.7 liter V8). With those "louder" mods, any performance gains would probably be attributed to those anyway, though the gears actually added the biggest difference when mashing the gas (though the cams were pretty beefy as well).

It actually just slipped my mind at the time.
