EDIT- Please only vote if you run an AEM intake!

In my quest for an intake I have come to the conclusion that the AEM is the best intake for me except that it poses the threat of hydrolocking. Do you worry about it?

No worries at all. I've used AEM CAI's on 3 cars now ('00 Civic, '02 RSX-S, '01 S2000), combined total of over 40,000 miles, and only one filter cleaning (on the S2000), and they were all excellent.

The AEM CAI will be one of the first mods I do to my '04.

ive had mine on a little over a year and no problems, its my daily driver, and goes in heavy rain, snow etc. i once was pulling through a parking lot, and there was a deep puddle that i couldnt see, before i realized it, the bottom of my front bumper was touching the puddle, i saw the water and just eased it in reverse and slowly backed out. then right after an integra tried to drive around me through the puddle and stalled out right in the middle of it and couldnt restart.

Rain, snow, -30 degree weather... sprayed the filter directly with water (accidentally while washing the car)... never had problems.

It is so difficult to actually injest water...

Yea, I've had AEM cold air intakes on both my previous car, the 00 Si and now my 01 S2k and have not had any problems. I've driven both cars with the intake on for a combined mileage of about 80-90,000 miles. If installed properly, it's not an issue. And I've been through some torrential downpours.

Nearly 3 years with one, daily driver in Boston snow, etc. When I wash the car, I specifically hose down the filter through the cut-open faux vent. Not so much as even a sputter so far.
