Default Dodge Viper Vs S2000

Ladies and Gents I really dont know what to do. I have had the S2000 for a year and I love it, however I cant see myself spending 15000 to boost it up to 500 or 600hp. I feel like I could purchase a Viper for that kind of change. Tell me why I should keep the S2000 or shouldnt. Has anyone ever owned both? What are the differences beside Horsepower? Handling?

Purchase a viper......?

Just boos the s2000, you won't regret it,

What kind of viper are you looking to purchase, I assume an older one?

if you love the s2000, boost it and you will love it that much more.

Where can you find a Viper for $15,000?

Vipers are pretty cool cars, but if your just wanting more power, just boost the s2k. It will be far less money than buying a Viper, and it will be a fun, fast little car.

Im looking at first an second Gens. I brought my S2000 for 11000. So far it's got 3500 in neccesary mods (mugen hardtop, 4 latches, new soft top, new ball joints, third brake light, new clutch and flywheel, koni yellows, 2 new yoko s drives). The boost I want to go with is a GT3582R by PFAB. Cost $5500. Benson Sleeves= $3500+shipping. Hondata ECU and Harness=$2000. Gauges and holders=$200 $400 for tuning, and total is over $12,000 dollars. So if you add my initial 11000 plus my current and future mods, I could have purchased a viper. I really love my S though, I just cant stand the fact that I want more power but to do so, I have to drop insane amounts of money to do it correctly.

If you daily your S2000, then definately do replace it with a Viper. Upkeep for a Viper would be vastly more. If it is your second/weekend car, go for it. I would love a Viper.

The goal for my S is a weekend getaway car. The same would be if I had a Viper. I would take it on twisties and just weekend cruises. That's about it. How does the handling compare to that of the S2000? Does it put the power down well in turns as the S?

Just a note, I bought my S last year with 73000 miles on it. It now has 73800 miles on it. That shows you how often I drive it.

I mean if you have the money go with the viper but i doubt you will find one for under 30k so therefore boost that baby all the way! Its kinda all motor viper vs highly boosted s2000.
