Default Does anybody have this problem with the paint?

I noticed earlier today that there seems to be a paint etching along the corner of my side rail (near the front fender). My first thought was that the portion of the body had been resprayed but upon closer inspection, it seemed as if a portion of the oem paint had cracked off. Has anybody ever had this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

Are you talking about what looks to be rust on the door? Its where the sealer is on the very bottom of the door, only way to fix that is remove the sealer, PITA, and sand it out then reseal and repaint, however the way the door skin is made you will probably never get rust out of there. There is a company called Transtar that makes a coating that practically stops rust and you can also buy a special nozzle with a tube that you cram in to tight spots and it sprays 360 degrees. Sorry for long post if its not rust

I also see a hairline crack in the paint, guess thats what your talking about. Could have been dirty/greasy when they painted it and its now coming back off, if its under 5 years old wont Honda cover it? If the paint is chipped it will have to be pulled away, cleaned, sanded then resprayed.

Yeah it's that small crack by the door still. There's no metal or primer showing underneath. I'm thinking about just going over the line lightly with touch-up paint.

If that's the case, degrease, wash and dry it well then yeah, touchup should be fine. Just watch it for any signs of rust.
