i think you're over-emphasizing the power the fd rx7 and mkiv supra make... just pulling a wastegate hose will not put you into the low 12s... you need to be somewhere in the BPU stage, with at least an, MBC and some race gas. yes i'll admit that with just an intake, mbc, and some race fuel, you can really turn up the boost and hit some times... but seriously i know an extensive amount of the supra owners in southern california and i have never heard of such a thing of pulling a hose putting you into low 12s. also, it's not cheap to run an upgraded twin setup. you have to pay for the turbos, the fuel setup, the tuning. if it's really that cheap to you, go buy a ferrari and you can end your bickering.

as for the fd... yeah my buddy has one too. he just rebuilt his motor cause it went on him after having the car for 2 months... so he rebuilds it, puts a big single and he's set for quite a high amount of boost now. maybe his motor will last this time...

but main point is... you bought the wrong car. looks like you didn't do your hw before you decided to get a honda, cause if you want some cheap bolt on power, feel free to head on over to a different camp. 90% of s2000 owners don't give a shit if their car is slower than x person's car in a straight line... and i believe it'll continue to be that way.

S2000 is good at track and twisted curves and Drifting?

Run in a straight line is not funny it only reaction but run in a track or twisted road is funny because it is not only reaction its braking an acceleration and handle the wheel...... That is funny and that is for what the S2000 was made

If you want a fast straight line car imports really aren't the best choice period. The engines sizes they run are just too small. Think about all the money your buddy put into his supra TT, cost of the car and upgrades. It's a lot of cash. How fast do you think a 5.0 mustang would be with those mods?

If you bought the s2000 with cash, just sell it and buy a 5.0 mustang and have it modded out and wipe the floor with both of your buddies. It won't need the rice gas to do it either. You can buy 600+HP crate motors that will bolt in!

Oh, I missed this one completely.

Upgraded HKS twins? Im assuming the 2835GT kit?

Not much invested? Lol. The turbos are over 7 grand, then you need the fuel system, clutch, electronics, blah blah blah.

I'll trade in my car for a 12-sec one as soon as I see one on the street whose driver has a bigger smile than I do.

This guy is funny. After posting on 6/5 that he's more of a show guy than a go guy (I might hit 120 mph on the freeway once in a while, but no street racing), he's all over the forums asking if anyone has a fast S2000 - cause "most cars out there get into the 12's with a couple of mods".

He posted it in racing and competition (I'm not used to being on a forum where cars don't respond to mods) and he posted it here. What's the point?

It will take at least $1000-1500 in parts to get a Supra in the low 12's. It will take at least $10,000 to get big power with a single turbo on a Supra, but closer to $12-13k for quality parts. With HKS Twins, add at least another $3-$4k because of the expense of that kit. It can get way more expensive also depending on how far you want to go. Also, these are pure parts costs, no labor or tuning including.

It should only take about 330-350 rwhp to get an S2000 well into the 11's and trap in the mid to upper 11Xmph, but you will need a good 60ft time and traction.
