Does anyone here have a FAST S2000?
This seems like an awfully long one, so I'll make it short since most will probably not read this. The S2K is an awesome road car, but there is a huge potential to get it to an 11 sec car. Yes, its going to take lots of $$, but done right it is possible. I know one person who is building his motor currently with Godzilla sleeve, Pauter rods, CP pistons custom tubular manifold and a "secret" ball bearing turbo to produce 700hp+ at the wheels. His car is the test for a few more s2ks lined up. The motor is coming along great and will be in the car sometime this summer. The next stage will be suspension and drivetrain followed by testing. Imagine the possiblity to turn up the boost and run it at the track with those time slips and have the killer looks of an s2k. Patience, commitment and research along with $$ will make it happen, but I am surprised with the abundance of negative approaches towrds building a drag car.
Negativity was well founded. We weren't questioning the ability to make an 11sec S2000, but his decision in purchasing an S2000 simply for drag racing; the S2000, obviously, is one of the worst choices out there.

I think anything with "700 at the wheels" isn't much of a pimpy track car anymore, not even something you can pimp at the beach with. 700 at the wheels is a car that is also 1 stupid move from being a coffin.
( not to say that any car can't be that, but when you have 700 at the wheels... you get the point )
I hate to see people slam the S2000 saying it isn't this or isn't that. People drag the CIVIC for Christ's sake, why not drag the S2000?
Anyways, I want more power out of my S, I'd be pretty happy with 300-400 at the wheels or whatever. The car can be a handful on a twisty road, stock, let alone with twice or three times the power.

I think I speak for a lot of users on the site when I say I'm not interested in re-inventing the wheel. More power to those who want to make it a drag car, but I'm more interested in making turns
