Dude, you're completely missing the point of this car, and you're still missing it despite several replies referring to taking the S to the track. You keep saying Corvette's/Supra's/RX-7's will beat you..."on the highway." Who cares? When we say "track" we mean a real track, i.e. one with corners. This is what the car was made for, and this is where it excels. Tell you what...take your S to an autocross and let one of the local hotshoes drive it. Then look at all the Porsche's, Corvette's, RX-7's, and Supra's (if there's even one there...unlikely) who have slower times, and THEN tell me who's got a FAST car.

The S2000 is a "cruising" car? That's about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard...cruising in this car will only get you a hearing aid and chipped teeth. The Audi TT or MB SLK320 is a cruiser, the S2000 is a corner-carving, rigid-bodied, tire-shredding maniac. You're upset that people are flaming you, and I can understand that, but the reason you're being flamed is that you're saying things like the above, which make it patently clear that you have no idea what this car was made for. You've definitely bought the wrong car. My recommendation is sell it to someone who will appreciate it for what it is...someone who'll use it the way it was meant to be used...and get yourself an American musclecar.

Being able to cover the 1/4 mile in less than 12 secs gets you that much closer to the speed of light and we all know that the faster we can cover distance, the more that mass increases.

I've got a pink S2000 that can keep up with skylines, supra's and RX-7's for sale...
