Default Does anyone use the cruise control

I don't think I've used mine yet in the 14 months I've owned the car. I just turned it on today for the first time to see if it worked. It did. Thinking of taking it out in my never ending quest to reduce weight.

I use it on the highway quite often, as I'm going one speed for an hour or more sometimes.

I use it often to prevent speeding tickets. Louisiana cops are heartless. Only had the "S" 5 days and got my first ticket in over 6 years. Dangit!

For daily/long haul drivers it's a God Sent. For peps like you and other track/sprint drivers, it's a POS. Rip er out

I seldom use the cruise on my S2000, but use it very frequently on my daily driven (auto trans) Tundra. I think I have way too much fun rowing through the gears on the S2000, and using the cruise detracts from the cars personality. That said, if I were to take a highway drive in the car, it is something I would consider if only to save a little fuel, and strain on my right foot.

I think it is one of the more dangerous devices as misused on today's crowded highways. Too many drivers sit on a speed instead of being aware or the traffic flow around them and adjusting as needed. I would be pleased of it did not exist. As far as I am concerned, if you are behind the wheel you should be driving!! That is in charge of all aspects of vehicle operation.
