I live in LA. No one in this GD town drives a consistant speed long enough to allow the use of cruise. The only people that apparently use cruise in california are grannies driving minivans in the left lane with it set firmly on 55.

I used it this weekend and realized when i turned it on that it was the 1st time i had seen that little green light in nearly a year

it works just fine though.

The only time I use it is when I'm taking my "30 min drive home from a friends house at 3am Sunday morning". There is almost no one on the road, so I just cruise on home.

I agree. I use cruise on every vehicle I've got. I've even added to my '60 MG (it took me over 6-months to sort it out). I've mastered the cancel and reset buttons/driving speed/distance factors so well, I think I could drive my Maxima across the USA without ever using the pedals, if it weren't for the fact at some point I would have to come to a complete stop. I also enjoy challenging myself on curves when the preset is over the limit. Who's says cruise has to be boring.

To me cruise control is one of the most important features on a car.

i sure hope i'm never in the oncoming lane while you're challenging yourself with pedalless driving.

Triple H, I also found the Honda steering wheel disengagement to be a really, really stupid design - requiring two buttons to be pushed at the same time while separated with a plastic divider. What were they thinking? I see you took care of yours with heavy duty equipment - a dremel tool! Careful cutting with an xacto knife from one's model car days will accomplish the same thing. BTW, the best cruise control I've found for those of us who love the 'hand control' approach, is on the Outback. Its so simple and logical, I wish every manufacturer would use it.

I'm not recommending others try this. . . I could be in the other oncoming lane as well. Good judgement must be exercised when you want to test your nerve.
