I use it almost everytime I'm on the freeway. I normally slap it in 7 mph over the speed limit and cruuuuuise. I have a pretty heavy foot, so this saves me from unnecessary speeding and saves me gas on top of that.

I can tell you've never drove in the western part of the US. Making a 1300 mile drive from Seattle to San Diego, you will find that cruise control is almost a requirement...

I use mine a lot, it keeps me from doing 65 in a 40.....

And I must say, when I'm driving my S2000, I never feel sleepy, it is just to exciting to be driving down the road in it...

As with anything else, it depends on the user; from guns to alcohol, not everybody is smart enough to use them properly. However, just because there are dolts out there does not mean those of us who use them intelligently should not have the option of using/enjoying them. And - I AM in charge of all aspects of vehicle operation when my cruise is on. Just because cruise is on does not mean my brain is off. I can disengage the cruise in a variety of ways very easily.

I also never, ever use mine unless there's a cop nearby. In that situation, I'll set it at the speed limit and cruise along until the threat is gone.

(edit) two seconds ago that post wasn't there! I agree with what Triple-H said.

I use mine whenever I can. I think it helps to prevent tickets. Doesn't mean I'm not aware of the traffic around me. I have a tendency to not let up on that gas pedal in this car! I still feel very connected when driving with the cruise on. One quick tap of the brakes or pushing both cruise buttons will cancel the cruise at any time.

I use mine most of the time but I live & work in a semi rural area in northeastern Ohio. 14 miles to work & 3 or 4 traffic lights. Usually set 4 miles over limit and don't worry about being ticketed or stop. Been forturnate for the last 20 years. I've had my 03 for 32 days now and fine using the cruise is as simple as my other vehicles that are automatic.

Just love the car.

I certainly don't use my crusie control every week (let alone every day) but it is another very useful tool for the driver, IMO, that I have used when making longer trips or when I'm on the open road and I'm wary about letting my speed get out of hand.

To say that CC is a bad thing, simply because some drivers are morons is too simplistic. Hell, if you're going to take that reasoning you might as well take cars off the road all together since the avg. US driver can't find his ass with both hands.
