A little cocky?....

Honestly, you need to relax. I love the CR and have driven one a few times, it is a great feeling car but I do think you are going overboard...by a lot. Yes, I think Honda did an awesome job on the car, but its all in the little things.
lmao.. WELL SAID..

thank you

Yeah he's being a little cocky but I'd say he's right about the CR being the fastest and most track oriented of all of them. I dunno about him gaining minutes on each lap. I'm sure the differences in time will be factored more on driver skill. The advantage should definitely be given to the CR driver though but the differences are pretty minimal.

Oh, btw, some of us noticed this weekend that the CR doesn't have that 'thermal/noise blanket' on the underside of the hood. Can some other CR owners verify this? Wondering if this is where Honda did their "sound deadening removal".....

It doesnt.

I noticed that when I saw an S2000 with it.
That's interesting. I'm curious of the difference in sound. I might take it off and see what it's like, wondering if the blanket is there for any other reason though...like to protect the hood paint from heat damage?

Good point.
I always thought that the hood insulation aided in protecting hood paints.
But thinking of the past, I don't think I've seen any cars w/ those 20 years ago.

serious? wow another s2k in my area...hi

btw the CR kicks ass, no disrespect to the ap1 owners or the cr owners, but i think the CR is overpriced for what you get. anyway, IMO each s2000 is special in its own way. so ap1 and ap2 owners, stop hating on each other. there are enough ap1 vs ap2 threads in this forum. ap1 owners, please stop hating on the CR owners.

so back to the topic of exhaust... the 08 CR is different... right?

edit: imms2k- congrats on your purchase, which stealership had it?
well said
