Someone asked me this before. Personally I cant tell the difference. If you can, please enlighten us.

And sorry for the wind noise, was havin 50mph gusts that day.
I don't really remember how my stock exhaust sounded, but yours sound more rumbly, IMO.
I like it.
I've seen an S2000 w/ stock exhaust the other day, and I'm starting to miss the stock exhaust.
Only if someone didn't steal my stock one..

Dan

MY03 according to Honda: 2811 lbs
http://www.hondanews.com/categories/898/releases/1516

I do recall the MY00-01 weighing less (specifically, 2808) but Honda's press releases don't go back that far.

A-Stock S2000s ranged from 2682 to 2817 lbs in the 2004 SCCA Nationals.

oh man - gotta raise the BS flag on that one.

There are MANY updates to the CR. It is no doubt the lightest and fastest roadtrack S2k.

If anyone disagrees, simply meet me in your AP1 with CR wheels at Putnam Park on March 22nd and bring someone along to count the minutes I gain on you lap after lap.

seriously people - before you open your mouth and think you know a darn think about the CR - GO DRIVE THE DARN THING - you will quickly realize this is no ordinarialy S2k.

I'm not ditching the AP1 or the AP2 - but I think if anything, the S2K enthusiast should give credit where credit is due. The CR is undisputably the stiffest, lightest, fastest, and most track oriented of all the previous S2K's produced.

ANYWAYS....speaking on topic again I gotta say that CR exhaust note sounds pretty good. I think I can tell the difference now between my 05 and your CR.

SoMe0nE2tAlK2, I saw your car at the Starbucks meet and talked to you a for a lil at Red Robin. I dunno if you remember but either way if I see you at another meet maybe we can get a side by side comparison of the exhaust notes.

Whoops nevermind, I see your newer Youtube video now and I guess you changed your exhaust haha. What'd you do with the old one?

FYI.. the CR is an AP2 as well

but yes, I agree partially with your statement in its entirety... the CR had been track tuned and engineered by Honda. So no doubt it'll be SLIGHTLY quicker around a track... but, I also have to disagree also... unless you are running a 60lap heat or race, you won't put a minute on any stock AP1 or AP2 with a proper driver behind the wheel. The CR is hardly a second quicker around any given circuit-style track... not SECONDS... get it right.

It's not a theory or opinion.. its just fact, do some research on it by some of the larger automotive media groups...

ps- I own an MY05, but am not impartial to CR's, AP1's or anything... just giving my $.02.

I REALLY hate to say it, but I was sort of expecting such a bold statement from a new CR owner eventually..

I vote this blithering idiot for "retard of the week" award.

This from the genius who sold his S2000 because he wanted a "mid-engined" car - the S2000 is mid-engined.

check you facts...

CR is 2-3 seconds quicker than a stock AP2 at Mid-Ohio. Verified by many testers.

Do you research before you call out others, and look like an idiot in the process.

okay, my mis-information... i had read somewhere that the laptimes were HARDLY different by only a second or so.

still, the CR dude goes out on a rant that the CR is far better because of this, because of that.. blah blah.. and getting all big-headed because he bought a new CR.. whooopee.

Whatever.. my bad, i was incorrect though..
