Does removing the OEM stero in our S2Ks disable the remotes for the doors and trunk??? I recall a while back when I my brother-in-law changed his OEM deck in his 98 civic and the remotes stopped working. Is this also the case with our cars.

The harness that plugs into the remote receiver is completely separate from the head unit harness...

I replaced both the head and replced the remote with an alarm... both systems are mutually exclusive.

If he didn't disconnect the battery during the stereo install, he could have blown a fuse that effects the remote entry system.
