lol whenever I get out of my car, I always end up staring at it while I walk away, or I sometimes stand there and stare at it ....

im also guilty of starring at my car when i walk away.
and when im on a date i always walk the girl to her door and jopen it. this is good for two reasons. one: it shows the girl you care. and almost more importantly two: it lets you do a circle around your car and see how it looks

I have had this happen over three times:
Pull up to stoplight
Young married couple in honda van pulls up
guy points down at the s2000
woman shakes her head no laughing
and he has the most depressed look on his face

Notch up another one to staring at the car when I walk away from it. The gf has come to accept this is a way of life, and will now turn and look with me and say "she sure is sexy", or something to that avail.

Doesn't happen as much since I moved to Atlanta about 1 1/2 years ago. Seems to only get attention from other drop-top drivers...the customary thumbs-up or horn honk. However, when I lived in Palm Beach Co., FL we got lots of attention.
Once an older gentleman driving a silver F430 Spider, traveling in the opposite direction through Manalpan, honked his horn and flashed his lights at me. My wife reached over and grabbed my crotch and asked if I was ok. Sorry if that's TMI, but we have an ongoing inside joke: She says I get an erection whenever I see an Italian exotic, hit vtec, cause the rear to step out a smidgeon on a turn, etc., etc.
Another time in PBC, I walked upon a little boy staring at the car while waiting for his mom to finish loading up the minivan. I say to the boy, with a serious look on my face, "yeah it's a racecar kid, step back". The mom (nor my wife) thought it was funny, but the little boy and I laughed.

i always look at s2k's on the road when i pass by them, in fact i saw a cleannnnn gpw ap2 driving in the rain yesterday and the lights on them were really nice.
however i have a 95 240sx and i def. get plenty of stares even if it's pretty much bone stock. prob. b/c it's pretty rare these days.

I don't see many of them. Maybe 1-2 a week, not counting mine.
