Default Does S2K make you think you're a good(fast) driver?

Do you think S2000 make you think you are good at driving, driving fast?

When ever I drive this car, the exhast note, pedal layout(easy to heal&toe), digital tachs and it's sharp corner entry + handling make me think that "I must be really good at driving this car!!!"

But when i drive other cars, I am average, not that I suck, but an average enthusiast. (I can't drift like Mr. Tsuchiya or drive like crazy on Nurburgring like Gan san in the "Type R Legend" video)

The car must be so well built, that even an average driver, can feel and taste the car's nicest bits.

Has any of you thought the same thing? or is it just me?!?!

The limits of the S2K are high. Makes me realize I need to be a better driver to make use of its potential. At this time, the best performance mod for my S2K would be for me to go to a performance driving school!

Actually you need a bit of skills to drive the car properly, like mentioned ... Advance driving school will be an essential priority I believe. Once you get there, it should be quite a bit of professional output and you will realize that you're not such a great driver after all when you complete the course.

Nope, not at all. You see, I autox with this guy named Jason Saini who has a yellow s2k and....well, let's just say he illustrates exactly why I'm NOT an excellently fast driver....

I thought I was a good driver even before I had the S2K. Then I got the S2K and figured I'm the man. Then I went to the track and promptly got passed on my first run session by a 240SX. I traded a 240SX in on this car! I thought, man if I wanted to drive like such a wuss I should have kept the 240. So I got an instructor in the car and by the third run session I wasn't getting passed by no stinkin' 240SX anymore! So I've improved but going to the track you get to see what GOOD drivers are capable of and while I'm better I'm no ace. Guess I'll just have to keep practicing .

Spot on that one too ... Practice and experience sure does get things going faster, in fact much faster.

The S2K definitely inspires confidence in your driving skills, but to really get the best perfomrance out of the car, takes a LOT of skill. I remember an article a while back when professional drivers were testing the boxster and the S2K. All the drivers liked the S2K better, since it took more skill to really drive the car.

The car is making you feel exactly how it was designed to make you feel. But be real careful... It does bite. I reckon you've had some pretty good advice on this thread. No-one is as good a driver as they think they are!

'Cept me of course
