Does S2K make you think you're a good(fast) driver?

I am a pretty fast and stable driver, but as for being a good driver? That belief was easily dispelled at Sear Point when I felt I was flying on the track during my Performance driving class when up around turn 2 and 3 comes upin my rear view mirror a Montero Sport SUV!!! Needless to say it was driven by some of the supervising instructors, but that was a truly humbling occasion, but I did learn from it. Having an instructor drive my car with me in it at the limit of the car added to the conclusion that my limits were way lower than the car...if something goes wrong, its gonna likely be me, not the car.

Respect the road and respect the car. I try to keep remembering that.

Well, it has taught me that I have limitations of which I previously unaware. It's also made me feel like I can get out of situations I couldn't in another car- but unfortunately I also get into situations because of the car!
I think most of us thought we were good drivers, or we wouldn't have bought the car- but then again virtually everyone thinks they are a good driver.
My GF thinks she is a good driver, and she is, to the extent that she pays attention, and never comes close to any situation where her pos mercedes is even close to any kind of limit!

S2Kguy,
You are a better driver than me- and you must be pretty good if you regularly go into drifts at 90 mph. but you might make me a bit nervous if I came around the bend the other way and saw you in a 4 wheel drift...

i think you're pretty fast when you can climb in some old POS with skinny tires and keep up with mr. just-off-the-showroom-floor boxter owner.......

aside; a long time ago,i took a bondurant driving school and one of the instructors lapped laguna seca in a ford van full of terrified students[me too] within a few seconds of the small bore production class record.....mostly the driver, not the car....

I guess it's opposite with me too. I used to do 4 wheel drifts with my Integra all the time. It was a very balanced car and I could steer it with the gas pedal when it was at the limit. Even though I'm pushing the S2000 more than any car before, I still haven't found the limits. This pictures of elnetti's stook are too terible.
