It Doesn't look like a MIATA!
Venting I have had it with people at gas stations, parking lots, red lights, car shows, or people driving down the street saying things like
"what's that a mazda miata" or "who makes that car"
When the car came out in April 1999 to celebrate honda's 50th anniversary I was simply counting down the days until I got my license and then once I accomplished that the days until I could afford one. How do people not know about our car. And I just read this thread

If you don't like your s2k donate it too me I promise I'll enjoy it enough for both of us. As Car and Driver said if you aren't enjoying our car you aren't driving it hard enough.

When people ask me is that a miata, i just agree with them, no point in popping a vein from anger, and if they ask how much it costs i tell them 100k, if they say is it fast i say it's faster then a ferrari.

I'm with you on the Miata thing. Not that I don't think Miatas are great cars...but, just last week, when I told a co-worker that I was going to sell my car and buy an S2K, she said..."bad move...it looks like a Miata".
I replied that it looks like a Miata in the same way that Greg Kinnear looks like Brad Pitt.

It's like saying to a guy with a ferrari "hey is that a corvette." In the life of an S2000 if hypothetically it woke up one day and found out it was a miata it would drive it's self off the nearest bridge.

yeah people are so dumb. i once walked someone from my car to a Miata and asked them now do you think it looks like a miata? i felt like grabbing them by the neck and smacking there head across the hood. the miatas hood.
