Ive recently acquired an ap1 s2000. When I bought the car the door chime never worked and the interior lights didn't turn on when the drivers side door was open. yesterday when i was installing my soft top the door chime randomly started working, then it stopped a few hours later? any thoughts on how to fix this?

 

I didn't know we had a door chime for anything other than leaving the headlights on? Do we??

Here's the DIY for cleaning your dome lights (assuming that's what you mean by interior lights) -- mine were flaky as they had grime on the contacts. Clean them up and they're back to new:

yes if the keys are left in the ignition and the door is open it will chime. I actually just fixed it, in the door jam there is a door ajar sensor and somehow the wire on the back of that got unplugged.

 

I'd bet that the door jam buttons are stuck - look at the rear of the door where the button is (around half way up), and push on it to see if it will pop out.
