Technically, unless your S2000 is a grey market imported from Japan, it is not JDM.

Is there any difference between JDM and models for other RHD markets like UK or Hong Kong? I think they may have different engine tuning because of the emission requirement and type of gasoline.

How many S2000s are in Hong Kong?

Congrats Kelvin! I love GPW! I do agree with the rest that you got an upgrade.

Anyways your previous S2K is being well taken cared of. It's currently asleep under the covers right now because we just had some snow. I feel bad taking it out on the salty roads. to a clean rare JDM AP1 in HK!

Technically the AP designations refer to the body code. AP1 is identifiable by the first generation front/rear bumpers. AP2 ofcourse has different bumpers, projector headlights, LED tails, interior changes (too many to list), and so on.

The F2XC refers to the engine code. F20C is the 2.0 liter 9K loving sex machine, while the F22c is the 8K torque monster - haha.

So, what you got was an AP2 w/ F20C. IMHO the best combo of body/gearing/motor the S2000 ever saw. Congrats.

As far as I understand, AP1 and AP2 refers to the chassis code not the body code. Of course, having an AP2 chassis also means you have an AP2 body style so your explaination is right in a literal sense, but not in a technical one

I must agree with everyone, you got the best of both worlds in the opinions of many. I actually like Ap1 body style more but loving the changes on the dash gauges. You got them both. Definitely not a downgrade though.
