yea that doesn't work. Well doesn't work here in Canada. When you buy a car (any car), it must pass a safety and emissions test before you are even allowed to register it. Your car will not pass emissions with the test pipe and a few places I have been to will not even safety the car with the testpipe.

So you can't say you bought it like that... unless the cop is a complete idiot. You could say that it passed emissions but when he smells it, he is unlikely to believe you. That why you always turn off your car immediately when you get pulled over and have a test pipe on there and hope for a big gust of wind from behind.
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU.... that sucks!

in texas and alot of southern states when you buy a car and register it you arent required to get it re smogged. and even at that OBDII cars are not smogged at all, they simply make sure there is no CEL and check the normal shit like lights, brakes and tires.

I don't smell my test pipe anymore. I think some just over exaggerate. It's not much worse than smelling any cars exhaust.

I have fittet a testpipe, and never notised any smell ??

Dit however notice a less big difference between no v-tec and v-tec.
The difference between the two of them dosent seem to be that big.

Enyone that can confirm this and maybe explain it ?

Most states in the US just hook up to the obd-II port and the car tells them if it's passing emissions..

so, since my car doesn't know I have a TP, neither do they

Driving without a cat in the US is a federal offense from the EPA's clean air act.

It's illegal in every state and carries a several thousand dollar fine.

That said, I've never heard of someone being busted.
