If you look around I think you'll find several owners here that have performed multiple 7,000rpm clutch dumps with no problems, just as you'll find several owners that blew their diffs (which is the weak link mind you, not the clutch in our s2k's).

One owner claimed 150 clutch dumps at the strip, and never encountered a problem. DavidM and another boardmember performed many 6-8k clutch dumps one after another whilst testing launching techniques for their S2k's, and everything held up fine. I think its a give and take thing, and I personally am not going to do 7k drops off every stoplight I go...but I do think it can take a limited amount of abuse at the very least.
Don't go there . . .
And it's not just the diff. Weak axles, clutch, trans is iffy, etc.

Interesting, well out of your list I've always heard that the clutch holds up fine. As for the weak axles, trans...never heard a thing about them, which doesn't mean they're not weak...so no comment from me about that.

Its mainly the diff I keep hearing about...oh well. *shrugs*
