i dont know if you read my first couple of posts, but i only drift in the snow and rain and on specific roads in my neighborhood. i dont live in a congested area so when it snows NO ONE is on the road, its crazy. what i meant by being smart is choosing roads that arent busy, that dont have blind turns (so you can see oncoming traffic), and to not go all-out like you have something to prove. just have fun but be responsible at the same time

But I still don't condone wreckless driving on public roads.
Wow, so this guy is now a ricer because he likes a movie and likes to drift???
oh well, let the guy do what he wants to do...hopefully my car will be set up the same in the near future...I have the FD steering set up in my garage right now....im working on the turbo, which will DEF help on the torque down low

Here is my thinking as to why everyone is so heated---- One reason people are getting pissed younger owners are buying these cars is because you have people posting things like "yeah I like to drive with my 140db exhaust setting off car alarms and pissing people off." When an owner acts like a jerk-off, the police are going to start profiling all S2000 owners in their area. I don't care if other car enthusiasts think I have a ricer car- I care if the cops do. I get pulled over enough as it is obeying traffic laws. I mess around drifting here and there but I do it in an industrial park late at night which is not in close proximity to homes. I have done it on roads late at night in unpopulated areas where I can see cars coming in advance.

Everytime a s2000 is crashed, the insurance rates go higher then they already are. So every wanna be initial D here is risking screwing up everyone elses rates because of their "drifting." Thats excluding other even more important things like possibly hurting others, etc.
Thats why I get heated up seeing young kids, who are obvious not suited for this car yet, going around being stupid like this.
You can say "oh its safe, its safe" all you want but being stupid on a PUBLIC is never safe no matter how you do it.

I think that is worth one million times more then just pissing you off.
BTW, I worked on my local first aid squad for 2 years and I'm still a NJ EMT-b. I know what car accidents do to the human body. Its ****ing moronic to say you like the risk of running into a pole especially if you had half a clue what it will do to you and your car.
people that try these foolish "top speed" runs on highway, or that try to "grip" race/aggressivly drive through mountain roads etc etc etc. ALSO screw up insurance.
Dont be narrowminded its not JUST drifters
