if you wanted to tear up your car and drift an s2k why the hell did you get an 07? It would have made more sense to get an older one, to save some cash, especially if you're going to rip in to it for things like the FD steering setup

My $.02. All these guys keep beating up the drifters-- ok, many times they have a point. I don't consider myself a drifter, but here and there I mess around again in industrial parks at like 2:00am, not in traffic!. I am constantly challenged to races on the highway, and I just wave them on and ignore whoever it is. I just think it's funny that alot of the guys doing the bashing have engine mods even turbos and s/cs and half of them have probably never been on the track. Even if they do track, they use it as some self-righteous excuse. If you drive like a granny, what is the point of these mods? You never exceed the speed limit, possibly endangering public safety?
I would say 90% of the people on this forum mod their cars to have fun and :gasp: exceed traffic laws- not tracking. That's part of the game. We just have to be smart and stealthy about when and where we choose to mess around. Btw, drifting with other cars around is retarded. So is racing on the highway and making "kill lists." Just be safe and have fun.

i know this is kind of a trendy fad these days, and the S isnT the best car for it, but i have been learning how to do this for 6 months or so and i have really takin a liking to it. just seeing if anyone else is into it so i can discuss it more.
CCR has a drift team, but I don't do any serious drifting in the S2000. I do play at it a little though.

If you want to try a fatter rear anti-sway bar, I have one that is never going to be used, and will make you a good deal.

1) So every wanna be initial D here is risking screwing up everyone elses rates because of their "drifting."

2) Thats excluding other even more important things like possibly hurting others, etc.

3) Thats why I get heated up seeing young kids, who are obvious not suited for this car yet, going around being stupid like this.

4) You can say "oh its safe, its safe" all you want but being stupid on a PUBLIC is never safe no matter how you do it.
1) i've never even seen/played/watched initial D - i didnt even know what it was until i saw that vid of the young asian kid crashing his miata after playing the game

2) as i've stated 2-3 previous times in this thread, i do it on empty roads, i dont know how else to get this across to you

3) i'm 2 1/2 years older than you so i dont know if you're calling me young and inexperienced but i've had this car for 3 years now and i know how to drive it.

4) i know anything can happen, but see my #2 answer
