Drive the S2000 on the freeway??
I only got on the freeway once until I hit about 750 miles, and that was a pretty short stretch - keep them revs changing!
I often hit the freeway for the first part of an evening drive - after the traffic has died down, I'll head out I-271 south to Rtr. 422 East, get off at Rt. 91 (Solon) & head home via the backroads. I find I really enjoy top-down freeway cruising - when combined with some decent backroads (not many around here, but there are a few), it makes for a very nice evening.....

I DO remember once going to work last year when I was in the middle lane of I-271 and there was an orange cone being battered about. The only thing I could do was hit it. I couldn't go left or right of it. Ended up with some minor scuffing near the headlight. Bummed me out. The freeway is for off hours only. Not during rush hour traffic.

Living in LA, I unfortunately can't avoid the freeways. If you're really worried about getting chips on the car, use a bra or the clear bra products.
I just live with the chips that I get.

Sorry, can't pass up an opportunity.
It's part of the membership that S2KI sells. If you go to marketplace and go to the S2KI store you can buy a membership. I've been here a while and find this board entertaining and informative enough that I bought a membership.
The big reason for avoiding the expressway is broken windshields. Michigan interstates are some of the worst for junk on the road and the S2000 design makes windshield breakage almost unavoidable. I-94 got me at only 3000 miles or something like that and the windshield had to be replaced.
Personally I'd rather scream up and down the gears and VETC in the country any day than one long top end drive down an x-way.
I agree with northern Ohio being a total bore to drive but southern Ohio is fabulous. Like Rt 250 around Wheeling, etc. -- truely sportscar country. I've driven some twisties around there that made my arms grow another inch I was sawing the wheel so much!
