Does anyone know if a 2002 drive shaft will fit a 2004 S2K? My mechanic says that they noise coming from the rear is the drive shaft. Sounds like a squeely noise during acceleration and sometime deceleration, but not when it's in neutral.

ap1 and ap2 driveshafts are different

 

It's got a moded ap1 diff but fits the original ap2 drive shaft. The component that attaches the diff to the drive shaft fits. So it appears that they can be made to fit somehow. I've got an '04.
