if anyone ever rear ended me they would regret it forever. It doesnt matter what the extent of the damage i would demand a new vehicle or a good chunk of money for the depreciated value. All people have to do is pay attention to avoid rear ending someone. I would be uber pissed too.

Sucks to hear. At least no one was hurt. Accidents happen and that is what insurance is for. I'm sure you will be properly compenstated for your troubles.

You cannot get money for the 'loss' of depression unless you sell the car right away and prove it sold for less then it would have without an accident on it's record.

Anyone who get's angry is foolish. PLay it cool, get their insurance info and deal with them between your company and theirs. Make sure everything is restored to pre-accident condition.

Talk like yours is just childish. Regret it forever? It's an accident. Regretting something forever is if they kill someone when they hit you. The rest is just 'the cost of driving on public roads'.

SO nice to hear the voice of reason on this website. It one of life's little speed bumps, deal with and move onto the next issue in life. Glad the OP wasn't hurt.

I hope you called the cops.

Any good cop should cite the person who hit you for reckless driving or at the very least failure to control the vehicle. If you do not involve the cops you can get royally screwed if the insurance information ends up being faulty and they give you a fake phone number (I know someone who had this happen to them!) Also when the person at fault gets an expensive ticket it will teach them an actual lesson....to pay f*^%ing attention!
