Drive top down without getting WET possible?
a couple months ago I got caught in a down pour with the top down. it was nighttime, and I drove right into a storm. was going about 80mph, slowed to about 70mph, and didn't get a drop on me... that was until my exit ramp came up. everyone around me was like, WTF??? it was a pretty cool feeling. had rainx on the windshield so I didnt even have to use the wipers.
to echo what everyone else has said...
i've driven through everything from light rain to heavy thunderstorms with the top down. the only time i get rain in is when the wipers are on, and then only slightly over the apillar. if i had rainx i'd have been bone dry even in the worst rain.
LOVE driving top down in the rain. freaks out other drivers too.

Rain/snow, 50+ and it's fine, front screen treated with silicon so no need for wipers, if it gets really heavy you could always stop under a motorway flyover to put it up, and if you've done the handbrake mod you don't even have to stop.
Every week or so, I drive the 330 miles between my homes in Michigan and Minnesota. I rarely put up the top, rain or shine.
If the rain is coming down hard enough, you will definitely get significant water in the cockpit. I went through a really heavy thunderstorm in July while traveling 60-70 mph on an interstate. Enough rain came in to curl around the windscreen and get the inside of the windscreen wet. I had to wipe the inside off with a towel to get enough visibility to drive. That wasn't a good situation, but I didn't want to stop and put up the top until I got to an exit. I was afraid of being rear-ended if I pulled over on the side of the interstate.

Floorpan can rust from rain. Be sure to air out after soaking your tub. In Cali desert its so dry that if it rained, the tub would dry in the same day ~ 15% humidity here, not good for natural leather and other articles that need moisture to survive.
