If you ever ridden motorcycle - this is pretty much the same strategy with s2k. But no - at least not because of visibility more because of ignorance. Who cares about small car while sitting in freaking huge suv? Right. Nobody. He'll get out of the way they think.. most don't even bother to signal. Sad but true.

Sadly around here I have more near misses lately while driving the S vs. my motorcycle(s)!

Every time I get behind the wheel in this car someone tries to run me off the road.

I have had more problems with this in my winter beater than I do in my s2000. The loud exhaust and really bright blue colour I believe plays a roll, plus my driving style. I look at it like the game of frogger, always placing myself in the safest lane.

Twice yesterday but that's not the norm. I'm generally passing and not spending time in anyone's blind spots so that's usually not a problem. And, like some others here, I've been on motorcycles which will teach you to drive extra defensively.

^ This. Alter your driving style. Be aware and adjust as needed.

It's not any better with Rio. Zombie drivers are zombie drivers. Paint isn't going to make any difference. They're going to keep on texting/talking on the phone/spacing out regardless of the color of your car.
