My drivers side door lock cannot be manually locked for some reason. I can manually lock the passenger side but not the drivers.

I can only lock the car by pressing the lock button on the remote.

Any thoughts?

I really want to avoid taking it to the dealer.

 

All the Honda driver's door locks I have owned were this way.
Do this: Lift inside door handle while simultaneously pushing the lock tab. Your driver's door will then lock. This is a "safety feature" from Honda.

They build this in to help to stop you locking your keys in the car or locking yourself out of the car from while it is running I think...
Be careful!!!
