Driveshaft Spaces
I see them as "recommended" rather than "required" in all cases of lowered cars. By lowering the car, you'd altered the angle of the 1/2 shafts from where they normally sit. This changes the contacts points in the CV joints and sometimes can create a new and odd wear pattern that may result in the typical CV joint vibration on acceleration. The spacer try to maintain the same contact points within the CVs. Some guys have gone a long time and have had no problems. Some have not been so lucky.

even if you're lowered by 1/4" its recommended.
