I put brand new S03's on my AP1 the day I got it, no issues in the wet, although I've read enough of these threads that I drive very carefully in these conditions.

Cold tires have caught me by surprize more than wet roads.

[QUOTE=dolebludger,Jul 11 2006, 12:52 AM]Well, if there are any FWD cars with oversteer, I'd be eager to hear of the make and model so I could test drive one -- as I have never experienced such a thing. Same for any FWD car with neutral steering. Every FWD car I have driven has understeered so much that it tended to "plow" straight ahead, even if I turned. And, I've never driven any FWD car where torque steer had been fully eliminated. Floor them, and they all pull to the right with the crown in the road.

And, I don't think the S2k has TRUE oversteer. To experience that, just go drive a 60's VW Beelte or Porche. They turn MORE than you steer in, even at low speed with no throttle. The S2k, instead, may simulate oversteer under agressige driving conditions, when its rear end breaks out in the opposite direction of the turn -- but this is only a simulation of oversteer under extreme conditions. Under normal driving conditions, I find the S2k to have neutral steering.

And I don't know what to tell you about tires. My Falken FK 451s have 13K on them, and look like they all may have another 13K in them -- even the rears.

Check out the threads that discuss differences between the various model years.

Do you want me to do the search for you?

[QUOTE=Dana R,Apr 5 2004, 05:56 PM]This was posted in a thread from last fall:

'00 springs:
Front 3.9 kgf/mm (218 lb/in)
Rear 5.2 kgf/mm (291 lb/in)

'00 swaybars
Front 26.5 x 4.5
Rear 27.2 x 4.5

'00 steering ratio - 13.8:1

'00 tire sidewall heights
Front 205 x 55 = 112.75mm
Rear 225 x 50 = 112.5mm

-----------------------

'04 springs
Front 4.16 kgf/mm (233 lb/in) 6.7% stiffer
Rear 4.68 kgf/mm (262 lb/in) 10% softer

'04 swaybars
Front 26.5 x 4.5 Same
Rear 25.4 x 4.5 Softer

'04 steering ratio - 14.9:1 Larger

'04 tire sidewall heights
Front 215 x 45 = 96.75mm Shorter
Rear 245 x 40 = 98mm Shorter

I just bought some used 2004 springs, and wanted to get confirmation as to which are the front and which are the rear.
