driving stick for the first time in an S2k
Hey Guys,
I picked up a silver/black S2k from Penkse Honda in Ontario the other day. It is one hell of a car. This was actually my first manual transmission car. I have tried going to numerous dealers but no one offered to help out or up me. I rolled up to the dealer in a yellow 2001 Porsche 996 GT3.......everyone was staring at me. I was nervous. I never drove stick before. Oh well, gave it a try.........stalled the fist day.......by the 3rd day, I was a pro. If anyone is ever considering getting this car and is not familiar with driving a manual trans car...............just do it. I did.

lolz, I don't know about the GT3 or anything, though I heard my friends said that they do have it in the states, but the S2000 was my first manuel car. I knew how to drive it though, before I got it. I remember when I first learned how to drive a stick on my friends car, and went to test drive a 330ci, I had back the car into this parkin in the dealer's lot between a M3 and another 330, man was I nervous, haha but my friends told me I drove good, I even gun the car lots of times.
The clutch doesn't have to travel so far in the S2K so the chances of stalling are not as high IMO. But those who think they can drive a manaul transmission car well after 3 days is full of both shit. The reality is that we all suck in the beginning. It takes lots of practice to become good. I personally don't consider one to be good unless then can consistently downshift smoothly down the gears.
